HARRIS – Island Resort & Casino officials have announced a $2 million project to expand and renovate the current convention center. Facilities Director Bob Mattson said the development will extend the current square footage from 9,500 to over 17,400. The present seating capacity of 350 will increase to comfortably seat 828, he said.
